This year’s event focuses on ‘trends, tech, and tempting talent’, providing an opportunity for attendees to engage with industry leaders, and gain insights on emerging trends.

Board Digest - September 2024

The Board was delighted to welcome the CII’s International Directors and Vice Presidents to its September meeting, as we gave additional time to think strategically about our role beyond the UK. Insurance has the potential to benefit consumers, firms and societies more generally around the world. We already have offices in Dubai and Hong Kong, and members in well over 100 countries, so we know there is potential for us to make a positive contribution in many other jurisdictions. The question is how? At this meeting, we discussed the needs that exist in some other markets, such as mandated qualifications, and the roles that other professional bodies already play. We also heard about our growing number of International Professional Partner Firms, and considered how these align with Corporate Chartered status.
