Inclusive financial planning

Pilot unit

The pilot of the Inclusive Financial Planning unit is now closed to further entries.

Registration to pilot unit, Inclusive financial planning (30 CII credits at Advanced Diploma level), which can count towards the CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, has now closed.

The unit focuses on consumer vulnerability and corporate responsibility strategies, looking at:

  • Issues that may affect the provision of financial advice for vulnerable clients;
  • Analysis of vulnerable client needs in respect to investments, pensions and protection;
  • The setting and oversight of systems and controls that enable advisers to deliver fair outcomes to all clients; and
  • Key elements and implementation of a corporate responsibility policy and establishing an appropriate business strategy that includes partnering arrangements with charities and other groups

The unit will be assessed through three written coursework assignments, each typically 2,000 to 3,000 words.
