Maya Nundloll André

Maya started her career at Swan Insurance as Underwriter, handling individual and SMEs’ businesses. After 10 years in Non-Life underwriting, she moved into direct insurance broking for Corporate business at City Brokers Ltd.

In 2003, Maya joined Munich Re as Casualty Specialist for Mauritius, the Indian Ocean islands, and the Sub-Saharan Africa. She was also responsible for Non-Life Treaty business for the region. As a representative for Africa in the Munich Re Group International Personal Accident Topic Network, she contributed to knowledge and information sharing to find solutions to better serve the African region. During her 12 years at Munich Re, she was regularly invited to assist the Audit committee of the Munich Re Group to review the adequacy of internal controls and best practices of other international offices.

At Reinsurance Solutions since 2016, Maya, leads a team of placing brokers for reinsurance placements across the world. She also oversees training sessions and seminars, both internally and for clients.

Maya is a Fellow and Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). She is a Chartered Insurance Broker and holds a Masters in Insurance Law from the University of London. She is currently the CII’s Goodwill Ambassador for Mauritius. As an Approved trainer for the CII, Maya partners with the Insurance Institute of Mauritius (IIM) and the Financial Services Institute (FSI) for the provision of tailored training courses for the market.
