Rishi Thapar wanted to find a suitable qualification with Chartered status, that could challenge him. He also wanted one that would complement his understanding and application of (re)insurance principles in his day-to-day work.
He explains: “The CII qualification ticked all the right boxes for me and has expanded my horizons considerably. The route I took was tailored towards progression in my broking career, and crossed boundaries that I may never have otherwise encountered, such as delving into insurance case law, and understanding the principles of marketing and how distribution efforts can help the penetration of insurance across borders on a global scale.”
Rishi is now determined to achieve CII Fellowship status, appreciating how well respected this designation is in the insurance world. He comments: “It has been an ambition of mine since I did my first CII exam, that I to this day cannot shake off. I am planning to begin the application process this year and am really looking forward to it.”
