Attaining the CII’s Advanced Diploma has helped Muhammad Danish Kazi progress into a position where his acquired sales and product knowledge has furthered his product pricing, risk management and portfolio profitability management skills. He explains: “The ACII has undoubtedly helped me have more meaningful conversations when dealing with partners, including reinsurers, to design and develop products.”
For several years, Danish had been working on the distribution side of insurance, with some of the region’s most prominent organisations. He is currently Head of Accident & Health at a leading insurance company in the Middle East. He explains: “I felt that obtaining the revered CII qualification would help me position myself as a valuable knowledge resource when dealing with underwriters and partners. I also saw it pertinent to attain a professionally recognised qualification in order to create differentiation with colleagues, to target career goals within the Insurance sector.”
Regarding the study process, Danish found the resources on “Revision Mate” and the accompanying reading material very useful, their online accessibility proving a great convenience considering his professional travel obligations. He adds: “I strongly feel that anyone who is involved with product development or underwriting has to be qualified by the CII to develop a thorough understanding of insurance programs. The ACII qualification should be an absolute must for senior management resources.”
Danish is currently studying for a Fellowship CII.
