The professional knowledge and new skill set that the Award in General Insurance has given Mohammad Sharafat Ali is highly valued by him in his role as Account Executive at Ace Re in Bahrain. Mohammad boasts an MBA in Finance from the UK and also has a professional qualification from the Association of Accounting Technicians and was very keen to add the CII qualification to his credentials.
He believes that it has opened his eyes to the sheer scale and complexity of the insurance industry and helped him to understand common insurance practices from a professional perspective.
He refers to his time spent studying and then sitting the CERT CII exam as a “fantastic experience”, and comments: “What I have gained from achieving the award will not only enhance my day to day working practice, but it will also help me immensely in my career progression. It has definitely boosted my confidence, while enabling me to build strong foundations for further study towards Dip CII.”
