R05 Financial Protection Revision Course

This online revision course is designed to help you feel more prepared for your exam. The content will cover the key areas of the syllabus and areas likely to be tested. There will also be a focus on exam style questions with clear debriefs to aid understanding.
The objective of the R05 unit is to develop knowledge and understanding of and ability to analyse financial protection planning issues. Financial Protection (R05) is a core unit for the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning which meets the FCA’s qualification requirements for retail investment advisers.

- Policy types
- Establishing the appropriate sum assured
- Underwriting
- Claims
- The use of trusts
- The taxation of benefits
- The purpose and scope of financial protection products and how they interact with state benefits
- The main features and functions of the different types of contracts
- The main protection needs of businesses
Workshop format
This workshop is delivered online, via Zoom over one full day, on the 2 July 2024, 09:30-16:30 (UK).
Your trainer is highly experienced and qualified in the subject matter, and as importantly, in how to deliver an effective and productive online training session, ensuring all candidates are fully engaged to maximise the learning experience.
Your revision course will be interactive, with the use of screen share, virtual whiteboards, polls/quizzes and breakout rooms for smaller group discussions. You will also receive a recording of the entire workshop post course, along with all supporting documents used.
The maximum continuous screen time during any session will be 45 minutes and the day will have plenty of breaks.
