Pubudu Wimalaratne biography

Pubudu has over 22 years of experience in life and general insurance and insurance broking sectors in Sri Lanka, with 16 years of management experience (2002 -2018). Among the other achievements in his career, he was the recipient of the World Prize for First in Fire and Consequential Loss Insurance (May 2002) from the Insurance Institute of India and am the runner-up of the Exed Eagle, Executive development program of the Eagle Insurance.

He is currently the Chief Operations Officer at the Co-operative Insurance Company, Sri Lanka. Pubudu is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a member of the Society of Insurance Broking and an associate member of the Insurance Institute of India (AIII). Pubudu has been a Member of the Sri Lanka Insurance Institute (SLII) from 1996, having served as the Vice President (2015-2016) and Secretary (2013-2015) of the SLII. He is also a member of the Rotaract Club, Colombo West from 1996.
