Unit Withdrawals

Which units and qualifications are being withdrawn and when?

The following units are being withdrawn. The last enrolment date for each will be 8th April 2024.

  • AWA-Award in Financial Planning (non UK) (Arabic)
  • WFS-Award in Financial Planning (non-UK) (Traditional Chinese)
  • WPS-Award in Investment Planning (non UK) (Simplified Chinese)
  • WPT-Award in Investment Planning (non-UK) (Traditional Chinese)
  • IMP-Motor Insurance Products and Policies (India)
  • IMU-Motor Insurance Claims and Underwriting (India)
  • WCS-Insurance Claims Handling (non-UK) (Simplified Chinese)
  • WCT-Insurance Claims Handing (non-UK) (Traditional Chinese)
  • WUS-Insurance Underwriting (non-UK) (Simplified Chinese)
  • WUT-Insurance Underwriting (non-UK) (Traditional Chinese)

The following qualifications are also being withdrawn. The last enrolment date for each will be 30th April 2024.

  • Award in Motor Insurance Products and Policies (India)
  • Award in Motor Insurance Claims and Underwriting (India)
  • Certificate in Motor Insurance (India)

Why are they being withdrawn?

These units and qualifications have an unsustainably low uptake, indicating that it is a low priority in the sector’s future learning.

Will they still be recognised within the CII qualification framework?

Yes. Anyone who has completed units and qualifications prior to their withdrawal still has the credits towards relevant qualifications.
